Import Arrivals - Royer, Lachance and Crumm
The Gold Coast Blue Tongues line up will take on a new look before the team's next game against Newcastle, thanks to the addition of several key imports.
Two Quebec Radio X stars will join the team on June 4th, fresh from a break after completing the LNAH season in Canada. Gaetan Royer, already familiar to fans, will be joined by Bryan Lachance, a versatile defenceman and forward who has spent the past four seasons with the Radio X. At 6 foot 1 and 190 pounds, the Vanier, Quebec born Lachance hopes to add some speed to the teams already hard hitting defensive core.
The third addition to the team is no stranger to Blue Tongues faithful. Alaskan William "Billy" Crumm, who will arrive in the next week, first played for the Blue Tongues in 2005, and over the next two season established himself as a fan favourite. Crumm played two seasons in the USHL for the Waterloo Black Hawks before moving onto Div III NCAA school, the University of Alaska – Fairbanks.
The trio will round out the teams import roster which now stands as follows:
- Chris Kerr
- Reg Thomas
- Chris Martin
- Gaeten Royer
- Simo Mustonen
- Bryan Lachance
- Billy Crumm
Sadly however, the team has suffered the loss of two players, Chris Bell and Jordan Ross.
Chris has decided due to family commitments that he can not continue with the Tongues. The Team and Management would like to thank Chris for his dedication to the Blue Tongues over the years and wish him and his family all the best in the future as he will be sorely missed by fans and players alike.
Import Jordan Ross has had returned to Canada suddenly as his mother is very sick. At this time it does not appear that Jordan will be returning to Australia and the team this season. The Team and Management of the Bluetongues wish Jordan and his family all the best and our thoughts and prayers are with them during these hard times.Upcoming Games
